Cambian Cedars

Cambian Cedars provides an intensive mental heatlh rehabilitation service for up to 22 male patients with learning disabilities and other complex needs. The hospital has 22 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite and furbished to a high standard. The people in our care are encouraged to personalise their bedroom to their own taste.

Job Role

To oversee / maintain the Care of all clients within the Hospital and, in the absence of the Hospital Manager, take responsibility for the day to day running of the Hospital.

The post holder will provide leadership, direction and supervision to all clinical and support staff. They will provide effective communication to both the care team and Multi-Disciplinary Team, acting as a positive role model at all times. They will contribute to the hospital achieving a high level of staff moral and in developing the service. The post holder will be responsible for implementing and evaluating agreed systems of clinical and operational support, aimed at the continual professional development of the Nursing Team and delivery of a high level of care to our Clients.

Candidate Profile

Knowledge

1. Fully conversant with the mental Heath Act 1983
2. ENB 998 or equivalent Managerial Qualification/knowledge
3. A broad based knowledge of current trends
4. Knowledge of PSI
5. Knowledge of local / national agenda’s with evidence of a comprehensive understanding of evidence of the impact these have on nursing practice and patient care

19. Full driving licence (and willingness to drive)
