Salary: £15.6 – £19.2 per hour
This well-established growing organisation are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant Manager to join their team. This is a new role within the business that offers a hybrid working scheme for the long term.
Accounts Payable Assistant Manager – About The Role
In this role you will be managing a small team of 3 and will be reporting into the finance manager. You will be managing the day to day running of the accounts payable function and you will be working closely with the senior finance team. Your key responsibilities will be:
* Managing a target driven, efficient and responsive accounts payable team.
* Manage and effectively control supplier advance payments.
* Assisting the reporting team with closure of monthly accounts ensuring all reporting is valid.
* Ensuring robust controls and processes are embedded within the AP team.
* Reviewing invoices ensuring allocation to correct cost centres and projects, whilst identifying prepayment and accrual invoices.
* Able to effectively manage suppliers and ensure escalations are effectively resolved in a timely manner.
* Develop and manage team members, undertaking appraisals and reviews.
* Assisting with company audits and other ad hoc tasks.
The successful Accounts Payable Assistant Manager will have:
* Previous experience in a similar position.
* Experience in managing a team.
* Previous working knowledge of SAP is desirable.
* QBE or AAT qualified.
* Strong management and organisation skills.
