Salary: £31,200 – £38,400

Location: Blackburn

We have an exciting role with a leading firm of Accountants that are looking to employ either a Qualified or Part Qualified Accounts and Audit professional to work with a diverse portfolio of Public and Private Clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead external Audits in Corporates and SME businesses onsite. This is a hands on role working closely with clients consulting on processes, structure and planning.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA qualified and will have strong experience in all aspects of the audit process from planning to completion and accounts preparation. You will be required to carry out audit fieldwork and will be responsible for the supervision of the audit team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Planning audits and identifying necessary resources and key risk areas.

Suggesting areas for audit efficiency and improvement

Supervising audits and ensuring the timely completion of assignments.

Working closely with clients, offering informative and relevant advice in regards to structuring, and systems

Providing support in advisory and business planning arrangements

Identifying new service lines opportunities for existing clients

Managing trainee accountants and assisting with their development.

Undertaking ad-hoc project or consultancy work for other departments or sector teams

Drafting and completing files including statutory financial statements and formal audit letters.
