Accountancy Client Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £60,000 per year

The Company

Able Bridge Recruitment are working with one of the most prestigious public practice firms in Scotland! We are currently working with them as they expand their team as they grow. We have been asked to assist them in the recruitment of a client portfolio manager who will manage a range of clients and ensure that their financial/management accounts are accurately completed within statutory timelines. You will also oversee the processes of functions such as bookkeeping and payroll.

Reporting into one of the directors of the firm, you will not specifically line manage staff members, however you will be reviewing sets of accounts prepared and also be having hands on preparation of more complex/high value clients.

Along with the review and preparation of your clients accounts, you will also be expected to provide business advisory services, act as an ambassador for the company at all times and attend events to develop future business.

The Responsibilities

Ensure client finance accounts are prepared accurately by junior members of the team and review these accounts for quality control purposes.

Work with larger businesses in the production of complex financial accounts for review by partner.

Provision of advice on matters such as tax provisioning, business improvements and general good practice advice/business prosperity.

Act as an ambassador for the company and ensure that all commercial opportunities are explored and maximised.

The Requirements

We are expecting to see the successful applicant to be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CA accountant with recent experience of working within an accountancy firm (within the last 3 years), however applicants who have not qualified and who have stopped studying (ACA, ACCA, CA), would definitely be considered. Our client works very heavily within the pharmaceutical, medical and dental sectors (although not exclusively). Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 60% in the office and 40% working remotely. If, however, applicants wish to work longer in the office the option is available to them.
