Account Executive

Exchange Street are excited to be recruiting for the largest Corporate Broker in Jamaica for an Account Executive. We are interested in an experienced Account Executive that is willing to leave the UK to begin a career working for a Broker that has expanded year on year and a Broker that has ambitious growth plans for the future.

They seek to offer independent and accurate risk management advice to corporate / commercial and private clients and always put the needs of their clients first. Partnered with a world famous Global Broking network, they are able to offer flexible solutions to a range of clients and classes of Commercial and Personal Lines business.

Due to continued expansion and ambitious growth plans, our client is seeking a new Account Executive to join their team. With offices in Montego Bay and Kingston, the remit of the role will cover the island of Jamaica.

Main role responsibilities include and are not limited to:

Developing new clients and providing a detailed risk management / assessment service and obtaining price / agreement of terms with client and insurers.
Managing existing clients and customers and being on hand to service enquiries and renewals
Report to the Managing Director and be responsible for own business and development plan
Build a strong network of contacts and be involved with Corporate entertaining and hospitality
Be an Ambassador for the Brokerage amongst the Business community
Inspire and develop work colleagues and enhance their insurance skills and knowledge
Seek career progression within company
Assist in managing Account Handlers when needed

The successful candidate must have the following skills:
At least 3 to 5 years experience as a Commercial or Corporate Account / Development Executive for either a National or Independent Broker
A proven track record in developing new business and maintaining existing clients
Strong technical knowledge across all classes of Commercial Insurance
Progression towards DipCII / ACII qualification
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent negotiation skills
A genuine desire to want to work abroad and be able to commit to a career in Jamaica
London market knowledge is an advantage, but not essential.
